As if panda colors weren't unique enough, Pentax releases a limited edition camo-green version of the K-m.
While not a new idea, it is kind of interesting. (It goes well with this lens kind of nicely)
What's next? Bumblebee yellow/black? Pink and blue (wahahaha)? Maybe some country-specific colors when they endorse a sporting event. Or maybe water-resistant changeable faceplates for cameras?
well, IMO the camo-design isn't too bad. but definitely not something I'd use in the long run (I still prefer the classic black).

forum Robinsons
Went to MegaMall to check out Alexan stocks as well as to meet up with my dad. Sadly, they didn't have what I was looking for. We went to forum Robinsons 'cos my dad was gonna check out the Lemax houses and I decided to make a return trip to CDR-King there.
Flashback Oct. 31, 2008 approx. 10:30am
CDR-King, forum Robinson's, Pioneer
No CU-805 only the TM-1062 USB-to-Parallel cable, and I got the feeling that they were reluctant to call other branches and settled to call the centralized inventory instead. I also remembered they didn't call it as CU-805 rather CU-201 (wth?)
-end flashback
I asked them if they had the CU-805 now. They said there was someone who bought all of them so I asked what they look like. They said they look EXACTLY like the TM-1062. Now, if you would look at the product list on their site, you would see this.
This is listed as the CU805 on the site. The filename is CU805.gif
This is the TM-1062. Supposedly, the CU805 should also look like this. The filename? CU80500.gif
People on the frontline might not be the source of the mistake as in this situation but they might as well be if they don't move to rectify improper practices. If the CU805 is not what the site says it is, then they should be the first people to contest the website content. She herself said, many people who buy the stuff don't know what they're buying. They buy the stuff for someone else, sometimes a company. They depend on the part numbers because that is what their bosses give them. Then if that is the case, they, as A company should ensure the integrity of their products. Be it by the content of the site or by any other means. Do they prefer that a person whose job is to buy equipment their company uses get terminated because of the misinformation they so far tolerate as long as they can stay in business?
I asked her if we needed to bring pictures of both ends of the cables to avoid confusion. She actually said yes. Could she NOT detect the sarcasm in my tone? The mere fact that she said yes implicitly means that STANDARDS ARE NOT STANDARD in CDR-King. Well, when one item has two part numbers, I guess it would not be far from it.
CDR-King, if you have the resources to continuously update your site with the "New/Upcoming Releases", FIRST ensure that what is currently on your site is correct. Typographical errors are excusable but this is far from a simple typo.
"Just because you are a frontliner and are on the lowest rung on the hierarchy of your company does not excuse you from the liability of the company's errors. It is BECAUSE you are on the frontline that you should headstart the correction of such."

I was too complacent...
A weird icon appeared on my phone today (the P9). It turns out, even those kinds of phones have the "no space for new messages" sign. The funny thing is, it turns out that it was there all week. Once I deleted a few messages, the backlog started flowing in. Around 10 messages. And as luck would have it, for once, NOT ONE of them was spam. Well, I never really expected my P990i to fail me like that. I mean, it only had 1800+ messages in it. Around 2000+ in the sent items I guess. I should backup soon I suppose.

So in a few weeks, I'll probably start using the first wired internet provider here since dial-up.

Grrr MANTECH... I honestly thought I was going to have a break from books this term aside from thesis. Well, actually thesis is included. My "books" there are printouts and I can afford to read them onscreen. Our ENPROMA prof allowed us not to have the book as long as we photocopied the exercises so no big deal with that. MANTECH on the other hand, is a different story. True, while I am able to (hopefully) borrow the case studies from someone, we have to make a book report. The book, unfortunately, is not in the library. Nor was it in any bargain bookstore I went to yesterday. So yes, I am here again, within 100m of my favorite bookstore, NOT to find a book I fancy.
Having my dad drop me at BHS wasn't the hard part. Waiting for the stores to open is. Well, not that I don't have any hangouts. I just don't want to spend on a 100++ drink today. Lucky break though, that Krispy Kreme now has WiFi access.
And free too. So definitely not bad. Considering I can have 1800++kbps download and 500++kbps upload while spending less than a hundred bucks.
By the way. They did give me an access key. But I didn't need to use it. But they might start enabling it soon. And from the key they gave me, they probably change it often too. Regardless, its not too difficult to ask for a key anyway.
On a different note, its a beautiful day today. The clouds are white, the sky is blue. So I'm going for a little walk after this to see if I can take advantage of the moment.

Almost centered
I noticed something was wrong with this after eating.
Pacific Plaza Towers again. In the background this time.
I have a feeling someone will comment on this picture (again)

Taking off...
In roughly eight hours, I'll be flying to Cebu with most of my batchmates for ECESEMS. The others went to Singapore earlier this morning. I have no idea if I'll get some sleep. Seeing as this is my first plane after all (this goes to the person who had no idea).
Anyway, it's not as though I haven't had any experience in the Visayas region. I've been to Bacolod before. But that was via Negros Navigation to and from when I was still a kid. Seven plants in two days. I so hope we manage to get a good long walk(s) of sightseeing.
Looking forward to the third day. Hehe. Bantayan Island. Whoohoo!
